Interior and structural vehicle parts

Bumper, control panel, dashboard and battery box molds for vehicle interior and structural parts — tooling that has to hold a visible surface and a structural fit at the same time.

Automotive bumper and interior mold program

Mold scope

  • Bumper plastic injection molds
  • Control panel plastic injection molds
  • Dashboard plastic injection molds
  • Battery box plastic injection molds

How the program runs

  1. 01

    DFM and mold-flow review

Parting line, gate position and cooling are settled against the drawing before design freeze, so a cosmetic surface is not lost to a late gate change.

  2. 02

    Tooling build and fitting

Mold design is issued for approval, then machined, fitted and assembled in house, with progress photos and a shared schedule.

  3. 03

    T1 samples and adjustment

First samples are measured against the drawing and checked for sink, weld lines and warpage before any steel correction is scheduled.

  4. 04

    Production release

After sample approval the same tool moves to low-volume or mass production, with the tool and process held unchanged.
